Ingredients
2lb (900g) strawberries, hulled & washed
2.2lb (1kg) jam sugar
Method
- Place strawberries in preserving pan with sugar
- Heat gently until sugar has dissolved, stirring frequently
- Bring to the boil and boil steadily for 4 minutes, or until setting point is reached
- Skin with slotted spoon and leave to stand for 15-20 minutes
- Stir gently, pour into hot sterilised jars
- Cover, label, date & store in cool, dry dark place.
